Air Traffic

The air-miss incidents are on rise. In 2015, there were 25 air-miss incidents reported to civil aviation regulator – DGCA, which is little over 2 per month. However, the air-miss incidents have already touched 10 in the first three months of 2016, which is little over 3 per month. With the government opening up the civil aviation sector in a major way – connecting regional airports, allowing 100 per cent FDI in airlines – there is a need to streamline the air-traffic control offices providing the controllers with proper training.
