The new airport built in Deoghar, is going to start soon. It is expected that Shiva devotees coming to Deoghar in Shravani Mela will be able to take advantage of the new air service. The trial landing of the airplane was done on Tuesday before the inauguration of Deoghar airport. Indigo’s first flight took off from Kolkata and reached Deoghar airport. IndiGo’s 180-seat 320A flight took off and landed thrice, said airport authorities.
Earlier, Sanjeev Kumar, Chairman, Airport Authority of India had inspected the Deoghar airport. He had said that the airport is fully ready for operation and the date of opening will be announced anytime.
