NEW DELHI: Air India and Vistara will now accommodate each other’s domestic and international passengers if the flight of either airline is disrupted due to some reason.
Air India’s “interline considerations on irregular operations” (IROPs) agreement with Vistara comes exactly two weeks after it signed the same with AirAsia India (AAIPL) for domestic passengers, signalling increasing synergy between the Tata Group airlines. Both the pacts are valid for two years, within which the group will finalise the contours of its airline business.
AAIPL as of now does not fly international passenger flights, so the Maharaja’s IROPs with it was only for domestic flights. Vistara, however, has both domestic and international passenger flights.
