MUMBAI: Air India will launch a non-stop flight from Mumbai to Dehradun, from where it will connect to the temple city of Varanasi. The flights, to be operated every Wednesday and Saturday, will be launched from September 28.
Flight AI689, operated with an A319 aircraft, will take off from Mumbai at 10.25am and reach Dehradun’s Jolly Grant airport at 12.40pm, said an Air India press release. It will then leave Dehradun at 1.10pm to land in Varanasi at 2.35pm. The return flight AI690 will leave Varanasi at 3.05pm to arrive at Dehradun at 4.30pm. From Dehradun, the flight will take off at 5pm to reach Mumbai at 7pm.
Defunct carrier Jet Airways used to operate daily non-stop flights between Mumbai and Dehradun.
