Takeover by the Tata group has made Air India an attractive place for airline executives, with the former state-owned airline drawing top talents from rival airlines as it strengthens its team.
Air India under the government was not a preference for senior executives of the industry. The airline also had a freeze on manpower hiring due to cost control measures for years before the salt-to-steel conglomerate acquired it last year.
