New Delhi: Air India, which witnessed a glitch in it’s server early on Saturday leading to disruption in service, expects all its operations to be fully normal by Saturday night, according to an airline official.
The technical glitch that resulted in a complete shutdown of the national carrier’s IT system that handles passenger reservation, check-in and baggage handling for around six hours in the morning, affected around 85 flights during the day, the official said on the condition of anonymity.
The airline as well as airports had a massive task of managing delayed flights and affected passengers. During the server shutdown, Air India operated two flights from the New Delhi airport through a manual check-in process.
