PUNE: An Air Asia flight from Pune to Bengaluru had to abort its take off mid-way and return back to the apron on Sunday late evening.
The aircraft, an Airbus A320, was at the runway taxiing for take off when it suddenly aborted the take off and stopped after which it returned to the apron area. According to sources, the flight had more than 100 passengers in it.
An Air Asia spokesperson said that a technical issue resulted in the same. “AirAsia India flight I5-1427 operating from Pune to Bengaluru, cancelled take-off and returned to bay due to a technical reason. AirAsia India regrets the inconvenience to guests caused due to the delay,” an Air Asia spokesperson told TOI.
