As many as 137 Air India flights were delayed on Sunday as the airline continued to face the brunt of a six-hour shutdown of operations owing to Saturday’s server snag.
An airline spokesperson said the average duration of delays was likely to be up to three-and-a-half hours.
The delays are mostly due to the impact of “first sector” or first-leg of flights starting late on Sunday. This means that the airline continued to see long delays through Saturday night and flights couldn’t reach their starting points for Sunday’s schedule of flights on time.
