After a two-day pause, fuel prices are up again on Wednesday. In Delhi, petrol and diesel rates were up by 35 paise to cost Rs 107.94 and Rs 96.67 per litre, according to Indian Oil Corporation.
A litre of petrol will cost you Rs 113.80 in Mumbai, and for diesel you will have to shell out Rs 104.75 per litre. In Chennai, petrol is nearing the Rs 105 a litre-mark and is being sold at Rs 104.83 per litre. Mumbai has the highest rate. Fuel rates vary across states due to VAT.
Crude price has been on a surge rising over a three-year high level of over $86 a barrel as global demand remains firm while OPEC+ continues to move slowly on increasing production.
