Questioning why the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi preferred an audit of its flagship power subsidy scheme by a private agency empanelled by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India instead of the national auditing body itself, the BJP has alleged a “power scam” in the national capital.
Delhi government sources, however, accused the BJP of “talking nonsense” in this respect, adding that the party was trying to keep “theft and irregularities” by private power distribution companies (discoms) under wraps.
