Shares of Adani Power jumped nearly 7% to the day’s high of Rs 390 on the NSE on Thursday after the company reported an 848% year-on-year (YoY) growth in its net profit for the September ended quarter at Rs 6,594 crore. The same stood at Rs 696 crore in the year-ago period.
The price action was supported by strong volume as over 88.31 lakh shares changed hands on the NSE around 2 p.m.
