Adani Green Energy plans to invest Rs 10,000 crore in capital expenditure in the financial year 2020-21, but expects project execution to be delayed on account of the disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Billionaire Gautam Adani-led Adani group has committed to invest over 70% of its budgeted capex into clean energy and energy-efficient systems so as to become the largest solar player in the world by 2025 and the largest renewable player in the world by 2030.
“With the long-lasting impact that COVID-19 is due to have on all sectors, sustainability driven business is imperative. Green Energy and Renewable Energy motivated investments will continue in this coming fiscal year,” Gautam Adani, chairman, said in a press statement on Monday.
