Residents of Adampur are up in arms over the inordinate delay in the construction of a flyover and service lanes on the Jalandhar-Hoshiarpur road. The project was initiated in December 2016, but it is still far from being complete, causing a great deal of inconvenience to locals.
In a meeting held on Monday, the residents, including shopkeepers and others, unanimously decided to boycott all political parties in the upcoming Lok Sabha bypoll elections if the construction work did not start by April 16. They also issued a warning that if their demands were not met, they would hold a sit-in and block the road on April 17.
