About 14 airports in India operate on the Public-Private Partnership model, told Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Retd. Gen. Dr V.K. Singh in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha during the winter session of the parliament. The detailed statement shared by the MoS stated that 25 airports under the Airport Authority of India are earmarked for leasing for the period between 2022 and 2025.
25 airports under National Monetisation Pipeline (NMP)
The airports available for leasing under the National Monetisation Pipeline (NMP) include Bhubaneshwar, Varanasi, Amritsar, Trichy, Indore, Raipur, Calicut, Coimbatore, Nagpur, Patna, Madurai, Surat, Ranchi, Jodhpur, Chennai, Vijayawada, Vadodara, Bhopal, Tirupati, Hubli, Imphal, Agartala, Udaipur, Dehradun and Rajahmundry.
