Even as routine commercial passenger flight operations remain suspended for last one week as a precautionary measure against covid-19, as many as 4100 kilograms of ‘emergency supplies’ through special flights have arrived at the Srinagar Airport during this time.
The supplies mostly comprising sterilising equipment being used by Srinagar Municipal Corporation have been airlifted in Indian Air Force aircrafts and facilitated by Airports Authority of India (AAI) Cargo Logistics and Allied Services, AAI officials said.
“AAICLAS which is an AAI subsidiary has been managing the domestic cargo terminals to ensure smooth movement of these goods,” said an AAI official.
