Four Air India SATS staffers along with a Birmingham-bound Indian passenger have been arrested at Delhi’s IGI airport for their alleged involvement in a human trafficking racket, said CISF officers Thursday.
On Wednesday, the CISF personnel at the airport spotted “suspicious activities” of a passenger, Diljot Singh, said officials. Singh was supposed to board an Air India flight to the UK but he was roaming around the airport, they added. The security personnel scanned CCTV footage and found that immigration officials had refused to allow Singh as his travel documents were “doubtful”. The officials asked him to come back with airline officials for clarification. Singh, however, did not go to the airline staff but approached an AISATS staffer.
