Ahead of the festive season, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has gifted four pairs of new trains in the South Eastern Railway (SER) Division.
Vaishnaw said this is the first time the Tata- Badampahar/Rairangpur area would have mail , express train connectivity. It was a long pending demand of the area and would fulfil the aspirations of local people.
The trains are the Shalimar(Kolkata – Badampahar-Shalimar(Kolkata) Weekly Express . The train would leave Shalimar at 23.05 hours every Saturday and would reach Badampahar at 05.40 hours, the next day. In the return direction, Badampahar-Shalimar Express would leave Badampahar at 21.30 hours every Sunday and would arrive at Shalimar at 05.00 hours, the next day.
