NEW DELHI: Delhi government’s solar policy, which will be notified next month, aims at meeting 25% of the city’s annual power demand through clean energy by 2025, finance minister Kailash Gahlot said on Wednesday in the assembly.
While presenting his maiden budget, Gahlot announced the allocation of Rs 3,348 crore for the power sector, up from Rs 3,340 crore last year.
In December 2022, the Delhi government notified the Draft Solar Policy of Delhi that aims to establish Delhi as a leading example in the field of solar energy, he said.
