BENGALURU: The conflict between the government and contractors over pending bills took a new turn on Thursday with High Grounds police questioning 20 of the 57 BBMP contractors who recently petitioned the governor seeking mercy killing.
According to police, joint commissioner of finance (BBMP) Mahadeva had filed a complaint against the contractors at High Grounds police station, alleging that they’d pressured the Palike to release pending bills even though an inquiry was pending about suspected scams in the works they had carried out for the civic agency.
