NEW DELHI: With Delhi completing two years of the Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy this month, the share of EVs in new registrations has reached around 10% this year. The capital appears to be on the path to achieve the target of 25% share of all new sales by 2024.
To ensure that supporting infrastructure keeps pace with this growth, Delhi government on Monday unveiled a three-year action plan that aims at installing 18,000 charging points by 2024.
Delhi government on Monday hosted the 4th EV Forum, where leaders of the EV ecosystem were felicitated through “Switch Delhi EV Awards”. A report on the insights from the two years of implementation of the policy was also launched by Dialogue and Development Commission (DDC) of Delhi and RMI India Foundation.
