MSEDCL launched a drive against power thefts in MMR. In three days, the Bhandup division detected 1.69 lakh units’ theft, a loss of Rs 14.5 lakh.
It was detected by a team under chief engineer Suresh Ganeshkar at Thane, Vashi and Pen. The culprits were asked to refund the money with a penalty, or face criminal cases, said an official.
