NEW DELH: The operation of RAPIDX trains at a speed of 160kmph has begun with the 17-km priority section from Sahibabad to Duhai depot covered in 12 minutes. The empty trains are running from 6am to 11pm at a frequency of 15 minutes to check for technical issues. Service for the public on this section is expected to begin soon.
“To guarantee that RAPIDX operations run smoothly once the priority section is up and running, the trains are currently being operated on the mainline in the same way they would operate after being commissioned. The RAPIDX train services begin at present at 6am at Duhai depot and go on till 11pm,” said an official of National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), which is executing the project.
