MUMBAI: Municipal commissioner IS Chahal has claimed that from January 2022, a total of 158 kilometres of roads have been concretised. Before 2022, about 990km of roads were concretised, and concretisation works for 265km were taken up, he said while speaking at an Independence Day function on Tuesday.
Between January 2022 and May 2023, concretisation of 59km of roads were carried out in the city area, while 64km were concretised in western suburbs and 35km were concretised in the eastern suburbs. It has also been made mandatory to install CCTV cameras to monitor the work and check the quality of work.
