GURGAON: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a digital conference on Sunday, laid the foundation stone for the redevelopment of railway stations in India, including the 15 chosen in Haryana. Among them was the Pataudi Road station in the city.
PM Modi said “new India” is rapidly developing and there was “new energy, new inspirations and new resolutions” in the country.
The project is part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, under which 508 railway stations across the country will be redeveloped at a cost of Rs 24,470 crore. The first phase of implementation includes 15 railway stations in Haryana. These are: Pataudi Road, Faridabad, Ambala City, Bhiwani Junction, Hisar, Bahadurgarh, Jind Junction, Narwana Junction, Narnaul, Kalka, Rewari, Rohtak, Sirsa, Sonipat and Yamunanagar-Jagadhari.
