Heavy rainfall for more than two hours on Tuesday evening affected normal life in many areas of Rajouri district resulting in damage to some roads while a person was drowned in Aans river of Kotranka.
As per details, heavy rainfall started at about 03:30 PM and lasted till 05:30 PM during which most of the areas of Rajouri district witnessed heavy rainfall resulting in steep rise in water level in most of the water bodies and flash flood in a few.
Narinder Kumar and other traders from Hill Milton bridge market told Greater Kashmir that due to heavy rainfall, flash flood hit Gurdan Balla Nallah which washed away temporary road constructed along Hill Milton resulting in closure of road which connects old bus stand Rajouri with Jammu Poonch highway.
