Natural gas is a clean source of energy and its demand in India is steadily increasing. Almost half of the natural gas is produced in India while rest is being imported in the form of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) under open general license on the terms and conditions mutually agreed upon between the buyers and sellers. LNG on re-gasification can be sold by the various entities as Compressed Natural Gas (CNG).
