Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC) in its meeting held on August 26, 2016 has accepted a report titled as “Carrying Capacity and Cumulative Impact Assessment Studies of the Lohit River Basin in Arunachal” that had recommended scrapping of Hutong-I 750 MW hydroelectric project, planned over Lohit River in Arunachal Pradesh.
