Work on Dehradun, Haridwar, Rishikesh metro train to start soon. Here is the latest update

The wheels are set in motion for the much-anticipated metro rail project in Dehradun, with a survey soon to kick off. This ambitious project is not only confined to Dehradun but is slated to extend its reach to the twin cities of Haridwar and Rishikesh, fostering enhanced connectivity between the three major towns of Uttarakhand upon completion, a TOI report stated.

IG Drones, a company specializing in drone technology and analytics, has clinched the contract for the initial phase, tasked with conducting a comprehensive topographical survey. The primary objective is to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) for the proposed Personalised Rapid Transit corridor (PRT) within Dehradun city. The envisaged PRT corridor is set to span from Panditwari to the Railway station, Clement Town to Balliwala, and Gandhi Park to IT Park.
