Transformer of 160 MVA capacity energized in Bhatapara
Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company to further strengthen the distribution system has energized a newly constructed 220/132/33 KV substation in Bhatapara.
Power Companies’ Chairman Shailendra Kumar Shukla said the substation will help in further strengthening the power supply in Baloda Bazar, Simga, Kasdol, Bhatapara and nearby regions.
A transformer with an installed capacity of 160 MVA set up with Rs 6.6 crore was energized in the sub-station. With energizing this sub-station, the transmission capacity of the company has increased from 8625 to 8660 MVA, Shukla informed.
After energizing this transformer, the number of transformers in this substation has increased to three and in case any of the transformer fails the other two will be able to handle the complete load, the official informed.
