SC to hear DERC chief, ordinance issues on July 17
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Tuesday adjourned for July 17 a plea of Delhi government relating to the appointment of Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) chairperson.
A bench of Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud and Justices PS Narasimha and Manoj Misra adjourned the matter for Monday saying that it would take up the matter along with the Delhi government’s plea against Delhi Services Ordinance.
“We will take this up on Monday with the matter challenging the constitutional validity of the Delhi Services Ordinance,” the bench said.
