NDMC gives a fresh push to its e-scooter plan, invites tenders
New Delhi: It’s been over a year since New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) scrapped its ambitious project of introducing e-scooters on rent for the general public. However, the plan seems to have reinvigorated, with the NDMC calling for a new tender this week.
The project includes designing, building and operating the public e-scooter sharing system in its areas by a concessionaire.
“The fleet of e-scooters will motivate people to use green transportation modes for covering short distances and last-mile connectivity,” said NDMC vice-chairman Satish Upadhyay.
