Mumbai: From today, take electric double-deck bus to office
MUMBAI: The country’s first electric double decker bus will be deployed for commercial run at 8.45am on Tuesday to ferry office-goers from CSMT to Nariman Point/ NCPA on the A-115 route.
Tickets for this bus will be 100% digital. So, you can’t buy a ticket on the bus. Commuters have to download the Chalo app or buy the Chalo smartcard that can be topped up.
“It is simple to select the journey and just tap the mobile on the machine at the entry door (front) and tap once again while alighting during exit (rear). The money gets deducted online from the e-wallet UPI or online payment linked with the app,” said BEST general manager Lokesh Chandra.
