Lanco-Greenko Budhil Deal

Uttarakhand Power Corporation Ltd (UPCL) and Uttarakhand Electricity Regulatory Commission (UERC) are in breach of trust imposed in them while handling the Lanco / Greenko’s proposal to buy hydro power. They awarded the 35 year Rs 3,262 contract to the private generator – Greenko Budhil Hydro Power Pvt Ltd – on just nomination basis.
