The government has begun the process for the fourth round of e-auctioning of nine coal blocks, which is slated for January 18-22, 2016 for non-regulated sectors like, iron and steel, cement and captive power plants. These mines together have extractable coal of 446.261 million tonnes (MT) and their peak rated capacity stands at 14.06 MT.
