IRCTC lines up Puja special tour packages

Kolkata: Starting September, IRCTC will offer pocket-friendly packages — like the five-night-six-day Andaman trip for Rs 38,000 per person onwards. The air-package will cover destinations like Port Blair, Havelock and Neil Island. The package includes airfare, deluxe accommodation, meals, transportation, sightseeing and tour managers.

“Despite the escalating airfares, we continue to offer comfortable tour packages at pocket-friendly rates,” Zafar Azam, IRCTC’s group general manager, told media.

Since Durga Puja is starting in October-end, several tourists are not willing to wait till the festivities to travel. “We have a comprehensive Uttar Bharat tour as part of the Bharat Gaurav Special Tourist Train, covering Mata Vaishno Devi on August 11,” Azam said.
