Delhi govt’s step-by-step guide to malls on setting up EV chargers
NEW DELHI: To provide step-by-step guidance to shopping malls owners on how to set up electric vehicle (EV) chargers in their parking lots, Delhi government on Friday launched the EV Charging Guidebook for Shopping Malls.
With the launch of the guidebook developed by Dialogue and Development Commission of Delhi (DDC) and World Resources Institute, India (WRI India), Delhi has become the first state in the country to have simplified and enabled the adoption of EV charging at shopping malls.
After the launch of the EV policy in August 2020, it was aimed that at least 5% new vehicles registered from 2024 were electric. To have such a massive number of EVs, the city requires a robust charging network.
