Train passenger tweets med problem, gets help
MUMBAI: A 30-year-old passenger received timely medical assistance from Central Railway (CR) officials after he tweeted to seek help soon after suffering from unbearable pain in the abdomen while traveling in a long-distance train.
The passenger, Shubham Sharma, was travelling from Ratlam to Pune by Ajmer-Solapur Superfast Express on Thursday. Sharma said, “I started having unbearable pain an hour before the train could reach Kalyan. I immediately posted a tweet to seek help from railway officials.” Sharma provided his train details, including his mobile number, in the message posted on Twitter. Sharma said that when the train reached Kalyan, the station officials were ready with stretcher and doctors.
