Chennai: Suburban train users in dark over timetable change
CHENNAI: Suburban commuters are irked about the the sudden change in the timetable which has cut the number of trains, that too, the late night services. Railways released the new timetable on Thursday which did not include the trains that commuter associations have been asking for on the Chennai-Tiruvallur route.
Sources said the railways has dropped a few trains on the Chennai-Tiruvallur, Chennai-Chengalpet and Beach-Velachery MRTS routes.
The move has taken regular commuters and associations by surprise as they have been demanding railways restore trains that were suspended during the pandemic, and also introduce a few more services to ease congestion.
