Spot power trade at IEX grew 52% in Dec’20

Power trade at Indian Energy Exchange NSE 1.14 % registered an all-time high volume of 7,260 MU during the month of December 2020, an increase of 52% over same period previous year.

Data published by the National Load Dispatch Center (NLDC), the national peak demand in December 2020 saw 7% YoY increase while the energy consumption registered 5% YoY growth.
