SpiceJet’s flight from Mumbai to Kandla does air turn back

MUMBAI: A SpiceJet Bombardier Q-400 aircraft operating flight from Mumbai to Kandla on Saturday did an air turn back following problems with cabin pressurisation. The Q-400 aircraft, VT-SQJ operating flight SG-2903 departed Mumbai around 10.30 am, climbed to 11,000 feet before changing course and commencing a descent to carry out an approach and divert to the airport of origin.

The aircraft landed safely in Mumbai about an hour later.

A Directorate General of Civil Aviation official said that the aircraft faced a problem with pressurisation.

A SpiceJet spokesperson said that after the take-off, cabin pressurisation alert came and the pilot-in-command decided to return to Mumbai.
