Smoke emanates from train at Borivli station

Mumbai: There was chaos at Borivli station on Sunday afternoon after commuters noticed smoke emanating from the pantograph of a suburban train on one of the platforms. Nobody was injured in the incident, and the issue was resolved within half an hour, a WR official said. “It was a technical defect in some parts of the pantograph of the suburban train. There was no external object which had caused the problem,” said a senior official. Commuters said there were sparks and loud noise from the pantograph of the train.
