Share market update: Nifty Energy index flat; BPCL down 1%
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Energy index was trading flat with a negative bias in Wednesday’s afternoon session.
Shares of Bharat Petroleum CorporationNSE -0.89 % (down 1.11 per cent), Indian Oil CorporationNSE -1.07 % (down 0.91 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of IndiaNSE 1.44 % (down 0.74 per cent), GAIL (India) (down 0.54 per cent) and Reliance IndustriesNSE 0.52 % (down 0.19 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
While Tata Power CompanyNSE -0.25 % (up 0.83 per cent), NTPC (up 0.69 per cent), HPCL (up 0.63 per cent), Adani Transmissions (up 0.21 per cent) and Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (up 0.04 per cent) were among the top gainers.
