Rules eased, no more random Covid test on arrival for international flyers
NEW DELHI: People travelling to India from other countries will not be required to undergo random testing for Covid-19.
Inview of persistently low incidence of Covid-19 and wide vaccination coverage, the health ministry on Wednesday said it has decided to do away with the earlier requirements for RT-PCR based testing of a random 2% subset of international travellers to India. However, the ministry added, the earlier advice for precautionary measures to be followed in context of Covid-19 by airlines as well as international travellers shall continue to apply.
