Road damaged within months of construction, Haripur residents fume
Residents of the Haripur area in Dehra subdivision of Kangra district are irked over the poor condition of the Bankhandi-Haripur road. They allege that the construction of road was completed just two months ago but was damaged in the first monsoon.
Sukrit Sagar, a BJP leader from Dehra, said the road was constructed under the Prime Minister Gram Sadak Yojna at a cost of about Rs 4 crore. The people of the area suffered for two years as the road was being constructed. Now that the construction of road was completed, it got damaged in just two months, he alleged.
