Responsibility for Unscheduled power outages fixed

Taking strong exception to the unscheduled power outages, the Power secretary Radhika Jha has stated that responsibility would be fixed for such outages. In a meeting held at state secretariat, the secretary curtly told the officials of the Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) that the executive engineer concerned would be held responsible for the unscheduled outages of more than 20 minutes. She said that complaints are regularly being received regarding unscheduled outages from different parts of the state. Jha asked the Managing Director of the UPCL and the director (transmission) to take appropriate steps to address such complaints.
