REC to spend Rs 30L on Mayurbhanj

The Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) has come forward with an offer of financial assistance for Mayurbhanj for development of some particular under-privileged rural areas of the district. This it is doing under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The REC is going to spend an amount of Rs 30 lakh for construction of community centres and toilet complexes at Dighi village under Paktia gram panchayat, Tiringdihi village under Tiringdihi GP and Petramahulpani village under Bhitaramda GP, all three being a part of the underdeveloped patch of the district.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to the effect has been signed recently by Chief Project Manager, REC, Bhubaneswar, Bijay Kumar Mohanty and Mayurbhanj Collector Vineet Bharadwaj. This was facilitated by Deputy Director (Planning and Statistics), Mayurbhanj Srikant Mishra.
