Railways to announce winning bids for 200 Vande Bharat trains soon: Report

NEW DELHI: The railways is expected to announce the winner of the bids for manufacturing of 200 Vande Bharat trains soon, ET Now reported quoting sources.

According to sources, five companies have bid for the Rs 26,000 crore project and the winners will be finalized within this month or the first week of February after the Union Budget.
Four of the bidders are consortium while major French player Alistair is a sole bidder. The consortiums include Siemens with BEML, Medha Engineering with Stadler Rail, BHEL with Titagarh Wagons and Transmashholding with RVNL, ET Now reported.
