Punjab Power Minister: Checking theft crucial for reforms in power sector

The state government has extended the date for voluntary disclosure scheme for increasing load of irrigation tubewells till September 15, said Power Minister Harbhajan Singh at a function organised for Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya here today.

He said, “To bring in reforms, it is important that theft of electricity is checked. The government is committed to supply regular power to residents for which the work on Shahpur Kandi project is going on at fast pace.”
