A drainage development work under Kolkata Environment and Infrastructure Improvement Project (KEIIP) has left roads across Behala in a bad shape. The monsoon rains now threaten to worsen the condition of roads.

“It is difficult to use Diamond Harbour Road as most of the connecting lanes have been dug up. While we are facing an acute water crisis, monsoon is the season when we are shut indoors when it rains heavily as the roads connecting DH Road resemble rivers,”said Das.
