Civic body takes up drive to repair dug-up, pothole-riddled stretches
KOLKATA: The Kolkata Municipal Corporation has taken up a comprehensive road repairing scheme to repair the city’s battered stretches, which might be damaged further due to rain.
Though the repair drive is meant for major thoroughfares across the city, the residents of Sadananda Road may hope for some relief as its dug up stretches are set to be repaired.
“We have formed borough-wise teams to repair the roads that have developed craters and become vulnerable due to rain. Sadananda Road is in our list of priority and we may take up the work in a day or two,” said a KMC roads department official.
